Recap: Bright Futures

Thank you to all who came out to pack snack packs last week!

A note from Tiffany Hansen, Bright Futures Coordinator:

“Dear First Presbyterian Church:

Thank you so much for your support of Bright Futures as we continue to strive to meet the basic needs of students in the Siloam Springs School District. The generous donation of $2500 will allow Bright Futures to replenish backpacks and school supplies that were lost during the unfortunate event of pipes that burst in our donation room this past winter. Our backpack/school supply giveaway provides hundreds of students with the opportunity to return to school each fall with items they need to help them be successful in the classroom. In addition to this annual event, we provide school supplies to students throughout the year as needed, so your investment into this program is greatly appreciated!
We appreciate the ongoing, tremendous support we receive from First Presbyterian Church members. We could not serve students without the help of our community and First Presbyterian Church is such a valued part of our mission.
We are so grateful for the recent volunteer groups from First Presbyterian who helped Bright Futures pack snack packs for our summer program. With everyone’s help, we were able to pack about 1200 snack packs in one evening! These snack packs will be available for students during the summer months to help supplement meals when a school lunch is unavailable.
Our sincerest appreciation to First Presbyterian Church for your continued generosity and investment into the lives of the students we serve.”
